SABIS Student Life Organisation® Training Camp

Over the weekend, 55 students joined us in Wiesbaden to do some bonding and get prepared for the year.  We started the morning off at the climbing park in Wiesbaden.  Many students conquered or battled their fears by going through courses high in the trees.  We had a pretty harrowing bus ride through the narrow streets of Wiesbaden to reach the hostel, where students met in their departments to plan events and to ensure that all prefects were aware of how things operate in the SLO® office.  They were then given some free time to play sports or board games.  We prepared a delicious dinner on the grill and then roasted marshmallows.  Students stayed at the fire, sharing stories and making plans until shortly after 22:00.  We all met for breakfast on Sunday morning and then rotated through stations, which had been planned by the Deputy Head Prefects.  They each prepared short bonding games and then had small groups spend about ten minutes completing the activity.  Students and staff had a wonderful time participating in these games.  We then had lunch and did one last game, before heading back to ISF.  I think all students had an enjoyable weekend, learned some new skills and developed new relationships.
